This is a "time-specific" piece that uses the celestial sphere (the map of meridians and parallels used to find celestial bodies) to create an alignment in real time. Using a software called "Stellarium" and the specific GPS coordinates of the location where it was installed, I aligned the south and north celestial poles, the milky way line and other bodies to their exact location beyond the walls, out in space, at the time of the opening reception. The alignment only worked at 6 pm on January 20th 2015 at Seton Hall University's Walsh Galleries in West Orange NJ.
